From design to art.
Every Rug99 piece takes shape in our hands, from the first line to the final touch. On the floor or on the wall, its colour and texture give a space a character of its own.

Design process
Form, colour and size are decided. The design is drawn onto the cloth stretched on the frame.

Tufting process
Yarn is worked into the cloth by hand with a tufting gun, loop by loop.
- 03
Backing and shearing process
Once tufting is done, we cover the back of the rug with backing cloth. Then we shear the surface by hand to sharpen the lines of the design.
